Gabrielle Crowe
Hi! I am a student at the College of William & Mary currently pursuing an M.Ed. in clinical
mental health counseling. My therapeutic theoretical foundation integrates existential, CBT,
person-centered, and feminist therapies, though I strive to personalize treatment modalities to
best fit the needs of each client. I utilize an intersectional and holistic view that acknowledges
the impact of social systems and considers factors that are important to each client’s identity. I
also integrate mindfulness and contemplative practices to help expand client awareness. I aim to
empower individuals to make meaningful life changes, foster resilience and hope, learn effective
coping mechanisms, and live authentically.
Some areas of clinical interest include trauma, grief, stress, anxiety, depression, spirituality,
ethnic and racial identity, sexuality, gender identity, and intergenerational issues.
Jabriel Hasan
I am a master’s level Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at The College of William & Mary, and I also work as a Graduate Assistant for the university’s Self-Care Over Soothing program. I hold a Master’s in Divinity (2022) from Union Presbyterian Seminary, a B.A. in Communications (2015) from Marymount University (Arlington, VA), and a Certificate in Patient Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University (2021). Between undergrad and graduate degrees, I served with the Peace Corps as an English teacher in Ethiopia and an Urban Service Corps Intern at Richmond Hill, an ecumenical Christian community and retreat center located in Richmond, VA, my hometown.
An existential-humanistic perspective broadly informs my counseling approach. As a soon-to-be ordained Associate Cherag (minister) with the Inayatiyya, I exercise a universalist and holistic outlook regarding spirituality. Nevertheless, my upbringing and lay ministry in The Episcopal Church, along with my theological education, prepares me to engage more customary religious concepts when necessary. My spiritual, academic, and extracurricular commitments also call me to honor justice for all, particularly concerning racial healing.
A typical counseling session with me will emphasize empathy, unconditional positive regard, and the humbling power of choices. I see our work as a sacred, healing process. Wherever you are in that unfolding, I am happy to join you!

I have experience as a school counselor, family clinician, and private practice counselor and have worked with individuals across the lifespan experiencing general social-emotional stressors, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and familial and relational challenges.
I am a National Certified Counselor and a licensed resident in counseling in Virginia. In addition to working with students and families in therapeutic settings, I am a registered yoga and mindfulness teacher with specialized training in trauma-informed practices, yoga for diverse abilities, and the therapeutic application of yoga.
Throughout work and life, I believe strongly in the idea that we’re all just walking each other home. I approach counseling from a holistic, strengths-based, relational perspective, joining with you where you are in your journey. My goal is to work together to help you navigate life’s challenges and uncover moments of growth and meaning.
